Celebrating Nevada’s Sesquicentennial: If you were celebrating your 150th birthday, what would you do?

For every month leading up to Nevada’s 150th birthday (Oct. 31, 2014), we’ll post one Nevada- or birthday-themed question along with responses from every Imagine team member. This month is a birthday question. Please join us as we think about how we would spend our 150th birthdays. And if you’d like, comment on our blog to tell us how you would spend your 150th birthday!

If you were celebrating your 150th birthday, what would you do?

“Seeing as that would be in the year 2142, I would probably have a party with my family, friends and my robots. But all jokes aside, I am extremely fascinated with the future. Technology is advancing to the point where we can control computers with our minds and have colonies in outer space! I would actually love to live to see that happen.” –Tamara

“Take a trip on the Irish coast.” –Alex

“Definitely eat a slice of pie and dance my heart out. 150 is quite the age to reach!” –Julie

“I think I’d take a well-deserved nap.” –Gail

“Be glad I was still alive.” –Tiffannie

“Have a party.” –Nadia

“Take up knitting! Kidding. I think I’d find a fine red wine and have myself a glass since that’s probably what got me to 150 in the first place.” –Donna

“Breathe; it is a good start to the day at that age.” –Jim

“Get wasted!” –Cynthia

“Eat as much as I want of an all-ice cream Baskin’ Robbins ice cream cake topped with lots of roses, take a nap, and play board games with my husband and all of our charming children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.” –Melissa

“I would probably take a nap. … 150 years is a long time.” –Megan

“Celebrate with my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.” –Diana

“Get a good night’s sleep.” –Brian
